Class members will not receive payments under the MobilityWare settlement. Instead, MobilityWare agreed to update its apps to include a permanent, clear pop-up notification regarding user privacy rights and collection of personal information.
The $100,000 settlement fund will be split equally between two cy pres recipients: the Electronic Frontier Foundation and the Electronic Privacy Information Center. These non-profit organizations advocate for user privacy and related research.
